Edward DavidO'DOHERTY MB BCH BAO DMRDIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr Edward David O'Doherty, who passed away at Alexandra Mill Care Home, Shavington on Thursday 15th October 2026, aged 93 years. Edward was the dearly beloved Husband of the late Ann Christine O'Doherty and cherished Dad of Anne-Marie.
Edward was a ships doctor in the 60's working for P&O cruise liners. At the beginning of his career, he helped his father who was also a doctor to treat the homeless in Dublin.
Edward had a distinguished career as a Consultant Radiologist at Leighton Hospital, where he served from 1972 to 1994, dedicating many years to his profession and the care of others.
Throughout his life, Edward had connections to several places he called home, including Rookery Drive, Nantwich, Blue Seas in Maenporth, Falmouth and Richmond Village, Nantwich. Edward will be remembered with affection by all those who knew him, both personally and professionally.
Funeral service at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Nantwich on Friday 13th November 2026 at 11.30am.
