IrisCANDFIELDWith great sadness we announce the passing of Iris Candfield on 27th March 2024, aged 98. Iris was born in Surbiton and moved to Cranleigh in 1964 with her husband Roy and sons Mark and Paul. Iris was a popular and well known Cranleigh resident. She worked for over 30 years as the secretary of Cuthbert Mayne school and following her retirement a part time job at David Gambles newsagent until over 80. Iris had a great love of sequence dancing and spent many happy evenings dancing at Cranleigh village hall and many other dance venues around Surrey. Iris lived at Overford Drive,Charts Close and Collins Court and finally at Russettings care home at Balcombe. Iris is fondly remembered as a caring, loving mother, grand & great grandmother. A great traditional cook and lover of food. She was kind loyal and helpful and is deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
