Remember Jack from him riding for Leicester, Oxford and Exeter. Saw him at Coventry several times, was always a steady rather than spectacular rider. Good enough to win the MRC twice, usually scored well at Brandon. Good sporting rider, never dirty. Last memory of him was in a WCh qualifier at Brandon, after a couple of innocuous last places suddenly came to life and grabbed two good wins and finished with a fighting second. Good to remember him by. May he rest in peace and hopefully chew the fat with old buddies like Ken Mckinlay and Ron How etc
