Hazel MaryKILLEN"Love is the sweetest thing" is the legacy that Hazel Mary Killen leaves us with when she died aged 85 on 18th July 2022. She leaves 3 children, Andy, Roger and Sue and 7 grandchildren, plus 2 great grandchildren whom she adored. Leaving us with memories of laughter and kindness, Hazel was always the most engaging hostess, a double act with her husband, Dennis, whom she has missed so much over the last seven years. She grew up in New Mills, Stockport, where she was involved with the Art Theatre and raising her family whilst entertaining guests constantly. She later moved to South Devon where she actively supported Save the Children and enjoyed her life on the River Dart. Her last journey will be to The Church of St Mary the Virgin in Churston at 3.30pm, Friday 12th August 2022. Donations in lieu of flowers for Save the Children may be given online at www.stockmanandloram.co.uk/donations or cheques payable to the charity may be sent care of Vanessa Loram, Funeral Director at Stockman & Loram, Funeral Directors, 19 Holwell Road, Brixham, TQ5 9NE. She died peacefully at home and is ready to go and "play among the stars" with her party-people who are there waiting for her. Love you, Mum x

My mother looked after Hazel when Hazel was a little girl. We had the pleasure or a visit several years ago when she spoke fondly of "Aud". We met (I think) Andy, if we could connect we would enjoy that. Chuck and Stephanie Newell
