Anthony AlfredMARKS, RN AKC QUEENS CHAPLAINPassed peacefully on 3rd May 2024 at Torrwood Care Home aged 95 years.

A Thanksgiving Service will be held at The Quire, Wells Cathedral on Wednesday 29th May at 1.00pm. Followed by a private cremation.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired are invited for The Friends of Music at Wells Cathedral School or The Gurkhas Welfare Trust and can be made online via funeral-notices.co.uk or cheques made payable to the above charities, can be sent to Forsey and Son Funeral Directors, Willowfields, Lowerside Lane, Glastonbury, BA6 9GY.

We both remember one of Toney’s truisms, ‘there are no agnostics in a force 9 gale’! Also his after dinner speech in Compton Martin Village Hall which was full of wit and wisdom. A wonderful, compassionate priest and communicator. John and Patti Simcock
