Eirwen MairMATTHEWSSadly on 10th August, Mair of High Street, Nelson passed away aged 84 years. After a long illness, but a short hospital stay at Prince Charles Hospital Cardiac Care Unit. Her final moments were in the presence of her beloved family, her husband Bob of 62 years who adored her, daughter Sarah, Son-in-law Paul, and Grandson Harry. Mair was a teacher for many years and was loved by all. She taught A-level at Bargoed Grammar Tech, to primary school level and Nursing at Ystrad Mynach College. She finally retired from Lansbury Park Junior School. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff on Ward 1 of the Cardiac Care Unit for their professional and compassionate care during Mair's last few days. The funeral is taking place on Thursday 31st August. Service and committal at Glyntaff Crematorium at 3.00 pm. Refreshments following at the Llanfabon Inn, Nelson CF46 6PG.
