Mary ElizabethPOOKAged 85 on August 14th 2022, in Derriford Hospital. Devoted wife of Roy (deceased), dearest mother of Brian (deceased), John & Helen, mother-in-law of Bridget and Alan, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. One of the dearest, one of the best, the Lord has taken her home to rest. The head one of all called out her name, it was her turn at last to lose her pain. Goodnight, God bless you mum. See you later Alligator. Funeral service will be held at Weston Mill Crematorium on Friday 16th September 2022 at 11.30am. Many neighbours remember Mary whizzing up and down the road on her scooter – heaven help anyone who got in her way! Seriously though, she was a good friend and neighbour always ready to help others where she could. She was one of the first to welcome Alex and I to the street back in 1983. I fondly remember her instructions to record all of her soaps for her - ready to play on her return from happy family trips to France. Truly a lovely lady and we miss her. Our love and thoughts to the family at this sad time, so hard for you all.

I know that many will remember celebrating their Birthday with one of Mary’s unique and very special cakes! Such happy memories of days gone by. My thoughts are with all the family at this sad time. With love from Joan xx
