Funeral Notices Update: October 2024

• Published 15/10/2024
The price you charge families for a newspaper notice is changing. Starting Friday, 1st November 2024, the cost of publishing a death notice in a newspaper will increase by £10 + VAT. This decision was not made lightly and reflects the ongoing rise in operational costs associated with producing printed newspapers.
The price of a digital notice remains the same, offering great value at £30 + VAT. Alternatively, we offer fixed-price subscriptions for unlimited digital notices with exclusive advertising benefits. Our subscriptions start from £30 + VAT per month, have no contract or joining fee and allow you to provide a notice to every family you serve.
Online notices continue to offer exceptional benefits:
* Global Accessibility: Notices can be viewed by anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time—ideal for friends and family who cannot attend the funeral.
* Condolence Messages and Donations: Friends and family can leave messages of condolence or make charitable donations directly through the notice.
* Charitable Contributions: Donations can support up to five charities or good causes with no additional cost to families or Funeral Directors. We also facilitate Gift Aid collection, adding an extra 25p for every £1 donated.
Here's a detailed look at the new pricing effective from 1st November 2024:
* Trade Deaths and Private Main Notices: Increasing by £10.00 + VAT
* Acknowledgements: £55.00 + VAT
These adjustments apply to all regions and titles.
