July 2024 was the best ever for donations made in memory of loved ones on Funeral Notices. Visitors to the site donated £169,010, more than £50,000 over our previous highest July total, which was £118,503 in 2023. Helping loved ones collect money for charities and good causes is our favourite part of our jobs here at Funeral Notices, and we thank you for your support in requesting donations be added to notices for your families.
At Funeral-Notices.co.uk, we understand the significant role that Funeral Directors play in guiding families through one of life's most challenging experiences. It's a duty that requires empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the needs and wishes of the bereaved. One such need is the opportunity to honour their loved ones meaningfully, which often includes supporting a cause close to their heart.
The incredible amount raised for charities in July is a testament to the impact Funeral Directors have on charitable collections made on Funeral Notices, benefiting not just the families you serve but also the charities that are often in desperate need of support.

Donating online is simple
Online transactions have become a part of our everyday lives.
Funeral Notices provides a user-friendly platform that makes it easy for friends and family to contribute to a chosen charity (or up to 5 charities).
This convenience is essential during times of grief when navigating complex processes can be overwhelming.
Funeral Notices allows families to personalise the online tribute page with photos, stories, and messages. This not only honours life but also offers a space for friends and family to share their memories and condolences.
It's a beautiful way to create a digital memorial that captures the essence of the person being remembered.
When friends and family are allowed to make charitable donations in memory of a loved one, it often inspires acts of kindness and compassion. People feel a sense of unity as they contribute to a shared cause, encouraging a supportive and caring community around the grieving family. This can be incredibly comforting and therapeutic for those in mourning, knowing their loved one's memory is spreading positivity.
We know Funeral Directors have a thousand and one things to discuss with the family. Discussing the methods available to collect in-memory donations may not be at the top of the agenda. It would be great if you try to get into the habit of briefly explaining that you can provide both online and cash collections.
Offering both options will increase the chances of a successful legacy collection.
