When is May Bank Holiday 2021?

Monday 3rd May is our next UK Bank Holiday. Traditionally May Day is a holiday to celebrate the return of spring, for many of us it will be a welcome break and hopefully the weather will be good enough for family BBQs or spending time outdoors with your bubble of six people (or two households).

If you're working the Bank Holiday weekend, to ensure we offer you the best possible service we will be working Bank Holiday Monday to book and check your notices.

Monday 3rd May: Deadlines & Opening Hours

  • No changes to deadlines.
  • Our telephone lines will be closed, however we will have people available to book notices via email (fdteam@funeral-notices.co.uk) and check notices for those of you who choose to book your own notices.

Booking your own Notices on Funeral-notices.co.uk

If you are working outside of office hours this Bank Holiday weekend, it may be useful to know how to book your own notices on funeral-notices.co.uk

The process is available 24/7, is straightforward and saves you time waiting for proofs from us.

Self-Serve Guarantee

If you book your own notices, we promise to check them prior to publication in print. We have a team of dedicated scrutineers available every day, including Bank Holidays, ready to read through your notices and spot anything that needs changing. They also double check you have chosen the correct charity/ies for donations.

In the unlikely event something is missed, by us or by you, we guarantee we will publish the notice again, free of charge.

Supporting you with Charitable Donations

Over the last 12 months, donations made on funeral-notices have totalled almost £1.1 million pounds - that is almost all down to you as Funeral Directors choosing to include donations in the notices you book on behalf of families. Thank you.

Bank Holiday weekends are an ideal time to take advantage of online donations, especially as lockdown has eased enough for us to be out and about, albeit outdoors only! Donations may be made on your notices as soon as they are published on funeral-notices.co.uk - with our instant upload that could be as soon as 15 minutes after you have submitted your notice from the basket (or instruct us to publish immediately on your email booking request).

With the Bank Holiday coming up and restrictions still in place around attendance at funerals, concerns over handling cash and offices not being open for people to pop in to make a donation, it is reassuring to know that donations may be made on your funeral notices any time of the day or night, from any location across the world and on any mobile or computing device.

Hopefully you will have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend, whatever you end up doing and whatever the weather!

Thank you once again for your continued support and thank you for your dignity, professionalism and hard work in what has been the most challenging year of most of our lives.
