The price you charge families for a newspaper notice is changing. On Monday 12th June 2023 the cost of a notice to appear in a newspaper and online will increase by £5 + VAT.
This change is one we make with a heavy heart. As you will appreciate the costs of running a business continue to rise. The costs involved in producing a newspaper have increased significantly and unfortunately, we find ourselves unable to avoid making a slight increase to the cost of a notice.
Thankfully we have been able to protect the cost of an online notice, offering great value at £30 + VAT. By making a flat increase of £5 to the cost of death notices in every newspaper we have been able to make it a fair rise across the country. Every notice published in a newspaper will still appear online at funeral-notices.co.uk.
There is no increase to the cost of an acknowledgement notice.

Online funeral notices may be viewed by anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time. This means anyone unable to attend the funeral can add messages of condolence or make a donation, perfect for friends and family abroad as well as your local communities.
Online donations are available on all notices and may be raised for up to 5 charities/good causes. There is no cost to families or Funeral Directors for this service and we provide charities with the information needed to collect Gift Aid - adding an extra 25p to every £1 donated.
Donation profiles remain active on notices for five weeks, after which the funds are sent directly to the charity saving you time and money in processes. The charity(ies) add a tribute on the notice to thank people for the money they received and the donation amount remains visible on the notice forever.
