Funeral Notices Update December 2025

As we look ahead to 2026, we are updating the price for publishing notices in our newspapers. Starting Thursday, 1st January 2026, the cost of publishing funeral notices and other announcements in our print titles will be adjusted.
While we strive to keep costs as low as possible, these changes are necessary to reflect the rising operational costs associated with producing and distributing printed newspapers. We want to be transparent about these updates and help you plan accordingly.
The price of a digital funeral notice remains unchanged, offering exceptional value at £30 + VAT. Alternatively, our fixed-price subscriptions allow you to provide unlimited digital notices with exclusive advertising benefits, ensuring every family you serve can have an online place of remembrance. Starting from just £30 per month, this subscription is designed specifically to support your business and the families you serve.
Benefits for funeral directors:
Unlimited Digital Notices: Publish a death notice online for every family you look after, ensuring no one misses out on a permanent online tribute.
Exclusive Advertising: Boost your brand visibility with enhanced advertising features on your notices and our platform.
Complete Flexibility: We know business needs change, so our subscriptions come with no contract and no joining fee.
Enhanced Service Offering: By including an online notice as standard, you provide families with a global platform to share memories, receive condolences, and collect charitable donations, adding significant value to your service at a low fixed cost.
Digital funeral notices offer unique benefits for families:
Global Reach: Friends and family anywhere in the world can view the notice, which is especially meaningful for those unable to attend the service.
Interaction: Visitors can leave messages of condolence, light virtual candles, and share memories.
Charitable Giving: Donations can be made directly through the notice to support charities and good causes, with Gift Aid adding extra value at no cost to you.
Here is an overview of the key changes:
Private Sympathy Notices & In Memoriams: The set price for these notices will be £70.00 + VAT.
Acknowledgements: We are pleased to announce that the price for Acknowledgements will remain frozen at £55.00 + VAT.
Funeral Director & Private Death Notices: Prices for main notices will vary depending on the specific newspaper title and region. While some rates have been held at 2025 levels, others will see a small percentage increase.
