In the modern world, the way we mourn and remember our loved ones is changing. More and more funeral directors are beginning to use digital funeral notices, offering a wealth of benefits for the charity, the family, and the funeral director themselves. If you're not sure of the benefits of digital notices, here are three examples to illustrate these advantages.

Thank you from the charity
The notice for
Lynn Shepherd is beautifully crafted, detailing Lynn's life, her family and her passing. The notice includes an option for donations to St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice, which provides an easy way for people to support a cause close to Lynn's heart. This not only benefits the charity through increased donations but also gives comfort to the family knowing that their loved one's memory is helping others. Family and friends collected over £430 for the charity.
This digital notice allows funeral directors to provide a comprehensive service to the family. The notice includes relevant details about the funeral service, contact information, including a web link for the funeral home, and even a tribute section where individuals can share their memories or condolences. So far, the notice has received over 1,500 visitors and 33 loving tributes.

Funeral director advert on every notice
Our next heartwarming example honours the life of
John Fitzgerald. John's digital notice shows how these notices can bring people together in times of loss. It tells his life story, from his birthplace to his love of musical theatre. It also includes details about his funeral service and a call for donations to the British Heart Foundation.
The benefit for charities is clear - a wider reach for donations. For families, it's a comforting place where they can read tributes from friends and acquaintances. For funeral directors, it adds value to their services by providing a place where all information about the deceased and their services can be found.
John's notice has received over 2,300 visitors to date and has 14 loving tributes added.

£830 collected for RNLI
Finally, we would like to show you an incredibly moving notice in memory of
Garry Freeman. Garry's notice provides a brief but touching overview of his life and some of the people who love him. It also directs donations to the RNLI Cleethorpes Branch, which allows the charity to benefit from people's generosity during this difficult time.
It provides a space for family and friends to remember their loved ones. Together, they collected £830 for the charity, with more than £180 added in Gift Aid. To date, the notice has received 47 tributes and 4,286 visitors.
Your subscription includes unlimited digital notices, which we hope we have shown to be beneficial to funeral directors and families alike in the examples above. We read so many moving notices and tributes every day, and each and every one is unique to the life of a person so very loved.
Digital funeral notices provide an opportunity to remember loved ones, support charities, and make information about the funeral service easily accessible. They offer a modern way for funeral directors to provide comprehensive and compassionate services. If you're a funeral director who subscribes to Funeral Notices but has not yet taken full advantage of the unlimited digital notices included in your subscription, now is the time to start.
