We've officially had our best year for donations, and it's only November. More than £1.5 million has been raised for charities and good causes through donations made on Funeral Notices this year - more than £5 million since we began offering them. We appreciate your support when speaking with families to discuss in-memory donations, as it helps us achieve these milestones. Here's a reminder of how important charitable collections are.
As funeral directors, you are pivotal in guiding families through one of life's most challenging times. While planning a fitting tribute to their loved one, you have the unique opportunity to introduce the idea of including a charitable donation in the funeral notice. This simple suggestion can transform a moment of loss into an enduring legacy, benefiting families, charities, and even your business.
Incorporating a donation into the funeral notice gives families a meaningful way to honour their loved one's memory. It allows them to channel grief into positive action, supporting causes close to their loved one's heart. This gesture can offer comfort and purpose during a difficult time, creating a lasting tribute that resonates with friends and family alike.
The impact of these donations is profound. With over £5 million raised since we began including them on our website, charities have been able to expand essential services and support more individuals in need. This year alone, over £1.5 million has been donated, demonstrating the tremendous potential of this initiative. By suggesting donations, you're helping sustain these vital organisations and amplify their reach within communities.
For funeral directors, encouraging donations can enhance their service offerings and reputation. It demonstrates compassion and forward-thinking, aligning their business with values of community support and empathy.
Thank you for encouraging donations. With your continued support, we can make a difference to families and charities in 2025.
